4th May 2021 Update

West Midland Shoe Company are still continuing taking additional steps, to reduce the spread to Covid-19. In addition to social distancing, regular temperature checks and vigorous cleaning routines, we are now offering testing within the workplace. 

Despite the easing of National restrictions, we are still facing some challenges around logistics with imports and exports as a result of Covid-19 and Brexit. We thank you for your continued support and apologise for any delays or inconvenience caused. 

11th January 2021 Update

West Midland Shoe Company is taking additional steps, including working from home, staggered work schedules, social distancing and additional safety and cleaning steps to help protect and support our employees. 

Whilst non-essential retail remains closed during the lockdown period, we can confirm that our online web sales will continue to operate however, there may be delays within our e-commerce services and customer service department. 

During these challenging times, we kindly ask that you allow up to 3 working days to receive email responses to any customer service queries. Where possible, our customer service team will get back to you as quickly as possible.

4th January 2021 Update

Following the Government's announcement on Monday 4th January, a nationwide lockdown has now been put in place in England which is expected to be reviewed on Monday 15th February at the earliest. 

Whilst non-essential retail remains closed during the lockdown period, we can confirm that our online web sales will continue to operate. We thank all our customers for their continued support and kindly ask for your patience during this time as there may be some unexpected delays within our e-commerce services and customer service department. 

We apologise for any delays or inconvenience caused. 

30th December 2020 Update

As from 00:01 31st December 2020, Staffordshire was placed into the Tier 4 Covid-19 level for a minimum of 14 days. Whilst non-essential retail is forced to close for this period, we can confirm that our online web sales will continue to operate.

West Midland Shoe Company is taking a number of actions to protect the health and well-being of our employees and customers to control the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in accordance with the official guidance of the UK Government and local public health authorities.

These additional actions include: 

  • Carrying out a COVID-19 risk assessment and sharing the results with the people who work here

  • We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance

  • We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work safely from a COVID-19 Secure workplace or work from home

  • We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace

  • Where people cannot keep 2m apart we have ensured at least a 1m distance and taken all the mitigating actions possible to manage transmission risk

Even through these challenging times, we want to continue to deliver the best possible service to you as safely as possible. To ensure the safety of our employees and customers, we’re keeping any returns quarantined for 72 hours before going back onto our warehouse shelves. 

Where possible, we will continue to provide regular updates on our website regarding business operations whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place. Any updates or changes will be shared on our Covid-19 page.
